Distractor suppression with stress: comparison between ASD and TD groups

In this study, we adopted additional singleton search task with a precue. The task was to find a shape-defined singleton and discriminate the orientation of a bar inside it (either vertical or horizontal) while ignoring any color singleton (cyan or orange). Critically, a line pointing cue appeared prior to the search display, pointing to a item location where the distractor could occur (with 100% validity when the distractor appeared). Participants were asked to ignore this cue. There were two sessions with one session of 50% distractor prevalence and the other of 90% distractor prevalence. The order of the two sessions was counterbalanced across participants.

We measured the accuracy and reaction time of the target discrimination task, as well as their eye movements and heart rates during the search task.

Raw data are available in the rawdata folder. The derivatives folder contains the preprocessed data and the results of the analysis. Analysis scripts are available in the code folder.
