Exp_001_SCstim_DiffLocations

Experiment description:

Stimulating the Schaffer collateral pathway and 2Photon Linescan imaging of dendrites at different locations along the dendrites.

Aim: Is dendritic calcium after Schaffer collateral triggered plateau potential global or localised to specific dendritic sections.

Experiment conditions

• Hippocampal brain slices (CA3 cut off)
• in 50uM Picrotoxin

Stimulation:

• Single stim followed by burst of 5 stim at 50hz
• Stim intensity set to give a plateau potential
• Stimulated 3-6 times with a linescan on each stimulation
