Sorry if this issue is a duplicate. I vaguely remember a similar discussion earlier, but can currently not find it any more.
With git-annex being available as conda package it would be very nice to be able to also use the gin-cli also with conda.
As a temporary workaround I am currently manually adding the gin-cli to conda environments. A short summary of this procedure can be found here: https://gist.github.com/JuliaSprenger/ef009154d61716d85710772672749fbf
