the scripts only works with submodules who went through gin init.

what is the best way to go around?

  • do gin init if not done before
  • give warning and go to the next submodule

Also, what workflow for the users to get their repo working? should gin get function be modified to work with submodules ?

Same question for gin login: should the script ask for login if it cannot reach the server ?

if do:

echo "intialise submodules"
git submodule foreach gin init

then it works, but is it a good solution ?

What if the submodule is a gitlab repository, will it all break? see #11

what if people want not to use git annex on that submodule : should we get a way to prevent synchronisation with the script, while not failing?
