  16. ## DataLad Datasets
  17. This repository is a [DataLad](https://www.datalad.org/) dataset. It provides
  18. fine-grained data access down to the level of individual files, and allows for
  19. tracking future updates. In order to use this repository for data retrieval,
  20. [DataLad](https://www.datalad.org/) is required. It is a free and
  21. open source command line tool, available for all major operating
  22. systems, and builds upon Git and [git-annex](https://git-annex.branchable.com/)
  23. to share, synchronize, and version control collections of large files.
  24. More information on DataLad and how to use it can be found in the DataLad
  25. Handbook at [handbook.datalad.org](http://handbook.datalad.org/en/latest/index.html).
  26. The chapter "DataLad Datasets" is especially helpful as an introduction to
  27. datasets.
