Scheduled service maintenance on November 22

On Friday, November 22, 2024, between 06:00 CET and 18:00 CET, GIN services will undergo planned maintenance. Extended service interruptions should be expected. We will try to keep downtimes to a minimum, but recommend that users avoid critical tasks, large data uploads, or DOI requests during this time.

Limited plasticity of prismatic visuo-motor adaptation

Movements towards an object displaced through prisms adapt fast, a striking example for the plasticity of visuomotor programs in the brain. We investigated the degree and time course of this system´s plasticity by extensively performing goal-directed throwing or pointing movements before, during and after wearing prism goggles.

Files

  • rawdata_throws.xlsx data of throwing movements in cm deviation from central target (distance 200 cm).
  • rawdata_pointing.xlsx data of pointing movements in mm deviation from central target (distance 650 mm)

PRE= before wearing prisms, PRISM= wearing prisms, POST= without wearing prisms.
