README.md

Folder "2.3mm_dendrite" contains evaluated simulation data, in form of .csv files., for 2.3 mm dendrite lengths. There is one .csv file for each electrode (1-12) and degenerative state (FD, TD, ND), indicated in the file name. Inside the .csv files, results for every simulated neuron (indicated by "neuron_number") and stimulation current amplitude (indicated by "stim_amp") are depicted. "model_name" refers to the name of the model in the simulations, with "models.Rattay_2013_varlen" indicating a dendrite length of 2.3 mm. "spike" indicates whether an action potential was evoked, with "True" indicating an action potential, and "False" indicating no action potential evoked. "first_spike_comp" indicates the action potential initiation site, starting count on the peripheral terminal as "0". Note that "first_spike_comp" refers to the "effective" action potential initiation site, as described in the paper.

Folder "1.5mm_dendrite" contains evaluated simulation data, in form of .csv files., for 1.5 mm dendrite lengths. There is one .csv file for each electrode (1-12) and degenerative state (FD, TD, ND). Inside the .csv files, results for every simulated neuron (indicated by "neuron_number") and stimulation current amplitude (indicated by "stim_amp") are depicted. "model_name" refers to the name of the model in the simulations, with "models.Rattay_2013_d1_5mm" indicating a dendrite length of 1.5 mm.

Note that electrode and neuron counts start at "0" in the .csv files, i.e. electrode 0 in the .csv files corresponds to electrode 1 in the paper.

"electrode_maps.csv" contains the nearest fiber to each electrode, determined with the deistance between electrode coordinates and neuron peripheral terminal coordinates, as well as insertion angle of electrodes, defined as the angle along the cochlear turns with the angle of the peripheral terminal of neuron 0 defined as 0°.

"neuron_maps.csv" contains the angle of each fiber, defined as the angle along the cochlear turns for each neuron's periphertal terminal ("angle"), with the peripheral terminal of neuron 0 defined as 0°, as well as the Greenwood frequency mapped to each neuron ("GW_frequency")
