## Uploading and editing files


### Overview


The Gin web-interface, with all [its buttons](#location-of-buttons-for-uploading), allows you to [create](#create-a-new-text-based-file) and [edit](#edit-a-text-based-file) text-based files, or [upload files, set of files or folders](#uploading-a-set-of-files).

In all case, one needs to [set the target for these files](#specifying-the-directory-to-be-uploaded) and [commit new changes](committing-new-files).
