Device is used for measuring respiration curve. The sensor consists of a disposable belt with an internal sinuous wire. The ends of this belt are fastened in two clamps which can be sticked together to hold the belt on the body and give the electrical contact for the wire in the belt which acts as the inductance of an oscillating circuit . Stretching the belt changes the frequency of the oscillator slightly. These changes are amplified and low pass filtered and result in the respiration curve.
