It would be great to get a way to create the datacite.yml file semi-automatically.
One could for example add orcid ID to profiles, then look for any people who contributed to the repo and make the author part from that information (everything must be by orcid of course...). The funding information is maybe available via orcid too ??
I wonder if it is possible, and if there are other steps we could do automatically.

We could implement ORCID integration into user accounts that would also be used to (partially) generate the datacite.yml file for registration, but this isn't currently in our plans for the next set of features. We always trying to improve the services we provide however, so any more feedback and other contributions on this matter are more than welcome.
