Simultaneous EEG-fMRI was recorded inside a 3T MRI scanner (Siemens Prisma) for 20 min at rest with eyes closed. A 64-channel MRI-compatible EEG cap was used according to the 10–20 system (reference Cz); Electrodes were equipped with an additional 5 kΩ resistance and impedances were kept as low as possible. EEG was acquired at 5 kHz using BrainAmp MRI-compatible amplifiers (Brain Products) and EEG was synchronized with the MRI clock.
